Wedding Insurance

Summer is wedding season.  However, planning a wedding can be a yearlong (or more) endeavor.  And unfortunately, there are many things that can wrong on your big day — all of them outside of your control.

With the average wedding now costing over $26,000, it’s important you don’t risk that investment getting potentially ruined.  This is where wedding insurance comes in.  With most policies starting at $150, wedding insurance can protect you against a variety of potential calamities that can arise, such as:

  • Venue Requires Insurance. Many venues now require wedding parties to show proof of insurance to have an event at their location. The policy will provide coverage for bodily injury or property damage where you are found negligent.
  • Liquor Liability. This coverage can be added to protect yourself from some alcohol-related incidences.
  • No Dress. You can get repair or replacement cost if the bride’s wedding gown or groom’s tuxedo is lost or damaged.
  • Lost Deposits.  You can be reimbursed your deposit if a vendor goes out of business, declares bankruptcy before your wedding, or simply fails to show up.
  • Lost Rings. You can be reimbursed if the bride or groom’s wedding bands are lost or damaged.
  • Severe Weather. If severe weather forces you to postpone your wedding, you can receive payment for non-recoverable expenses.
  • Ruined Photos. If your photos are lost or damaged,  the costs to take new photos can be covered.
  • Call to Duty. If the bride or groom is unexpectedly called up to active duty, forcing the event to be postponed, you can be reimbursed for any non-recoverable expenses.
